He was born on September 30, 1956, in Austell, Georgia, son of the late Howard Ivey and the late Mildred Colleen Moore.
During his career, he worked as a printer for Printpack. David loved working with his hands; he was a great carpenter, and he enjoyed woodworking - he could fix anything! He was always ready with a smile and a joke and enjoyed board games and metal working. He was the greatest friend, Dad and Papa that anyone could have ever asked for.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; “Toots” Ivey and William Ivey; and sister, Kathleen Ivey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: David Ivey, Jr. (Jessica), Nicolas Ivey (Amy); daughter, Danielle Evans (Tim); brother, Stephen Ivey; grandchildren, David Ivey III, Jordan Ivey, and Maddy Ivey.
The family will be holding a Private Service.
