David Lee Hicks

David Lee Hicks, age 86, a native of Newark, New Jersey and currently residing in Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born February 15, 1936 in Elizabeth, NJ, to Mary Frances Brock and David Hicks. David served in the United States Military Army. David was very family oriented and loved his family dearly. A humble man, David was loved by everyone he met. He loved baseball and was an avid fan of the NY Mets. David was very fit and stayed in shape by working out and walking. He enjoyed his daily cup of hot tea, reading and loved dogs.

Preceding him in death were his parents, David L. and Mary Frances (Brock) Hicks; brothers, John Hicks and Shelley Hicks; and a sister, Mary “Antoinette” Banks.

Those left to cherish his memory are nieces and nephews, Wanda Banks, David Hicks, Natasha Renee Artis (Bernard Smith), Frances Burney and Darryl Bryant; as well as a host of great and grand nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Services are planned for Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel.
