Christine was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on December 15, 1926. She loved her family and friends and was a very sociable person. She always made sure that you had a full belly; she loved to cook meals for everyone. She made the best sweet potato pie. Christine had a wonderful sense of humor, always joking and laughing. She was a strong and independent lady, ready to take on the world ahead of her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Wells; sons, Kenneth and Thomas Hunter; parents, Jerry and Carrie Graves; and siblings, Dorothy Stone, Norman “Sonny” Graves, Geraldine Brown, Marcelo Soriano, Jr., Edythe Swails, and Carolyn Suddler.
She leaves behind her children, Anthony (Robin) Hunter and Beverly Hunter; brother, Joseph (Cheryl) Soriano; sister, Alfeda Soriano; grandchildren, Stacy Guidry, David Hunter, Elizabeth Hunter, Christopher (Jen) Hunter; and great grandchild, Niema Hunter, Everett Hunter, Kawika Hunter, and Shuchim Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, local and out-of-state family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Douglasville Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 2838 Bright Star Road, Douglasville, Georgia on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service in the Rosehaven Cemetery at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home.
