Although I have only met Mr. Giardina a couple of times, it seems like I have known him for a life time.  My in-laws (Ronnie&Nanette Rabalais) and my husband (Matt Rabalais) always had great things to say about him and share fond memories of past times.  I have witnessed the most precious and pure end of life journey through FB posts that Matt has shared with me.  Continued prayers for the Giardina family.  

We are so saddened by the passing of our colleague, and our prayers are with Rosemary and the entire family. May the peace, love and comfort of God be with you through this most difficult time. Giardina as I (Jevella) always so affectionately called him was a lively and energetic person_sometimes witty_ who always wanted to make things right. Just know that God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ever dare to ask or  imagine. Our prayers are with you. 🙏🏽

It is so hard to find the words to express how much Vince meant to me. He was always there to listen  and support me, especially when I was upset or discouraged at DHS. He could always make me laugh and make me feel better. He was such a kind and compassionate man who loved and enjoyed life. Even though we've both been retired for several years, I always felt his presence and knew if I needed to talk, he would listen. I can only hope I have the courage and peace to face my death like he did, knowing, as he told me, that he had had a beautiful life and that he was at peace. Rest, my dear friend, in God's grace.

I am so sad that I’m away and won’t be able to share in the celebration of his life! I met Vince my first year teaching and instantly he was a support, a mentor, a friend and someone I truly admired! He lived his life with dignity, compassion and empathy and with true loyalty and fidelity to his family and to the Lord! Rosemary and Vince had something incredibly special and raised their beautiful family truly knowing and sharing unconditional love! He will be forever missed! God bless his soul and his family!

Although this was expected, it is painful none-the-less.  Losing Vince so quickly after losing my cousin Kevin is just heartbreaking.  I absolutely LOVED my conversations with Vince.  He always managed to ask the not so "mundane" questions and made the conversation deeper.  He was a brilliant man, a loving family man, a wonderful father, brother and friend and I am honored to have had him as my uncle.  The absence of his presence will be felt for some time to come.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends and all who knew and loved him.

My deepest condolences to the Giardina Family. I worked with Mr G (as I called him) for many years at Donaldsonville High School. He was always so professional and always wanted the best for the students. He was definitely a Family man and that you could see from a distance. One thing that always stood out to me was the way he dressed. He was the best dressed guy on campus. He was always starched up and wore them polo shirts in may different styles and colors. I always admired his fashion. Mr G you definitely have a special place in my heart.

My heartfelt condolences in the loss of such a kind man. Mr. Vincent left a mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest In peace. 

I remember when Rose and Vince had planned to marry, we "kids" were crazy about this gorgeous man Rosemary had with her...the first thing he told us "do not call me Uncle Vince...it makes me sound old" - just call me Vince (he was only 10 years older than me)...from that day on, he was OUR gorgeous (uncle) Vince...always loved this photo - I called it his "hollywood glamour shot"

 I thought from the very first time I met Vincent that he was a kind and generous man, and this proved to be true. I appreciate the manner in which he treated my son, Trevor, with nothing but generosity, always willing to help. He was also loved by Liam and Scarlett as well, his Great Grandchildren.
 Ultimately, the most important measure of a man is not wealth or fame, but by how many people loved and respected him. 
That was Vincent. 
Our sincere condolences to all of the family and friends for their loss. 
He will be surely missed.
