Ronald "Ronnie" Martin Rome Jr.

Ronald was a remarkable person who made a meaningful impact in the lives of those around him. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and cousin. He was a very dedicated and hard worker. Ronnie worked as a Safety Coordinator for Melamine and its affiliates for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, going to the camp, and being in his shop. Of all things, Ronnie adored his family and enjoyed every moment he was able to spend with them. His son Kyle was his pride and joy and he was extremely proud of him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of forty five years, Janice Legendre Rome; son, Kyle Rome; mother, Georgiana Rome; three sisters,, Elizabeth Laiche (Darrell), Mary Lynn Daigle (Steve), Toni Rodrigue; three brothers, Bryon Rome (Tracy), Michael Rome, and Troy Rome; one sister-in-law, Mitzi Clifton; two brothers-in-law, Todd Legendre (Jill) and Terry Ourso, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Rome Sr,; one brother-in-law, Lynn Clifton, and one sister-in-law, Sherry Ourso.

A memorial visitation for Ronald will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1pm until 4pm at Ourso Funeral Home, 134 Houmas St, Donaldsonville, LA. A private interment will be held at a later date.
