Florencia was called home to Our Lord on the evening of Tuesday October 31st, 2023. She went peacefully to her final rest while surrounded and comforted by her close family. She is now with her devoted husband, Amparo Gonzalez, whom she deeply loved and dearly missed.
Florencia is survived by her six adoring children. Sons Azael Gonzalez, Amadeo Gonzalez, Armando Gonzalez & Adrian Gonzalez and Daughters Blanca Amparo Gonzalez & Anavela Lopez. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Florencia was born on August 20th, 1935, in Congregación Hidalgo, Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to her loving parents Crispin Lopez and Florentina Alvarado de Lopez.
She and Amparo were married in Los Ramones on May 17th, 1952, and spent the next 66 years of their lives together.
Florencia emigrated to the United States in 1962 to join Amparo who had emigrated in 1955. She was accompanied by their young family and also her mother Florentina. All of whom later became naturalized United States citizens.
Among her countless endearing qualities, Florencia was known for her unwavering faith in God, her hard work, her love of life, home & family, her wonderful smile, and her joyful laugh.
She was the kindest and gentlest of souls and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Our sorrow at her passing is as great as she was, and her spirit will live on in the memory of the many who loved her.
She was and always will be – One of a Kind.
A visitation for Florencia will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, 189 South J Street, Dinuba, CA 93618. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 12588 Avenue 407, Cutler, CA 93615.
