Stella Robinson

Stella Robinson - Age 85 of Smith's Cove, Digby Co., passed away May 5, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Sluice Point, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Alphe and Louise (D'Entremont) Bourque. Stella was a devoted Christian and belonged to St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Digby. She worked as a waitress most of her life, working many years at Mountain Gap. She was always full of life and enjoyed dancing, playing cards, darts and bingo. She loved to feed the birds and was an avid gardener who always had a vegetable garden until last year. She will be greatly missed by her family. Stella is survived by daughters, Wendy, Kathy (Phil); sons, Steve (Diane), Jackie (Cindy); grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew, Corey, Jon, Aaron; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Spencer and Brooke; sisters, Annie, Celeste; brothers, Lorne, Ernest also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Stella was predeceased by, son, Patrick; husband, Donnie; brothers, Augustin, Edward Benoit and Bernardin. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne's Funeral Home in Digby (902-245-2525) where visitation will be from 7-9pm, Tuesday, May 9. Funeral Mass at 11am, Wednesday May 10 from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Digby with Father Vincent Onyekelu presiding.Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
