Paul George LeClair, of Bear River, NS formerly of Hensall, ON passed away the 30th of January 2024 in his 78th year, after a valiant 4 year effort having suffered a devastating spinal cord injury in 2020.
Paul was born September 7, 1946 in Windsor ON. He had a lifelong love of art, particularly painting and he considered it a blessing that he was able to continue this after his accident. His art kept him focused and contributed to his positive attitude and zest for life.
In the past he was also a talented wood-worker and had a deep appreciation for antiques. Before his accident, he was an avid golfer and in earlier years enjoyed playing and coaching hockey.
He was well known in the London area as proprietor of Hampstead’s Tea Room and later, Pine Sampler Furniture.
He was a proud father and leaves behind, daughter, Cari and son, Ryan. Predeceased by son, Todd. Loving grandfather to Ethan, Sydney, Taylor and Chloe; life partner, kindred spirit and best friend to Gillian Mitchell.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in Bear River in July, date to be announced.
