Lewis, Lonnie Charles – 63, of Easton, passed away on Sunday, September 30th 2012. Born in Digby, he was the son of the late Charles Comeau and Helen Lewis. He was raised by his aunt and uncle the late, Wilfred and Josephine Comeau. Lonnie worked as a Stationary Engineer and was most proud of all the young people he helped mentor during his career. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Christine, daughters, Christa (Doug) Crocker and Victoria Lewis, both from Brighton; grandchildren, Shakera, Kody and Adrian, also many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Lonnie. Lonnie is also survived by sisters, Annie Cornwall, Digby; Evangeline (Raymond) Muise, Ontario; Josephine (Howard) LaRose, Alberta; Mildred (Edwin) Pelley, Alberta; Marjorie (Pierre) LeBel, Cornwallis; Beatrice (Leon) Lewis, Ontario; Velda (Harry) Griffiths, Digby. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Eugene and sister, Mary. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Wednesday October 3rd from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North (245-2525). Funeral service will be at 11am, Thursday October 4th from the New Tusket Baptist Church. Tim O’Blenis presiding. Interment in Hilltown Cemetery.
