Just had a call from Jimmy about your loss-I am sorry . The minute I met Harold I loved him .He was so gentle but rough so fun loving but serious so manly but a little boy at heart. I remember the night t the MBo1 when we waited for his wife and son to arrive--way back in no-mans land but they found us. The sparkle in his eyes as they arrived  was priceless---maybe the "few" beer we had helped..My thoughts are with you and all the memories are there too--really great ones ..As always, as ever I will remember my friend. I was Saddened to learn of Harold passing, My deepest sympathies to all the Family, i know he will be truly missed. My memories of Harold goes back to our teenage years when we traveled on the same School buss, the same class room and we were the same age. we enjoyed the time we had as friends, he will always be remembered as one who loved a fun time,  may God's Blessings help you thru all this..  


Harold was such a great man.  As much a part of our family to call him “Uncle”  and will be so dearly missed. Mom used to tell some great stories of Harold and Dad in their early army years and the two were so much alike that it’s easy to understand why they became the best of friends.  Mom, absolutely, adored Harold ...as do we all.  He lives on in each one of you.  Our deepest condolences to you all❤️

We have wonderful memories of the all too brief time we spent in  Digby and at the cottage in the summer of 2000 as we completed a whirlwind tour of the East Coast.  While at the cottage we were served the freshest lobster cooked by Chef Harold and ate together while overlooking the Bay.  It remains one of the highlights of our trip and although we did not get a chance to get to know Harold better, the way he treated us as  guests said everything about who he was.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Pat and all of the family as you move through this most difficult of times.  Hold those memories (and great pictures) tight. My family was very close to Harold’s family so close, we all new him as Uncle Harold.  Dad and Uncle Harold were like “blood” brothers. They were so much a like and enjoyed every bit of time they had together.  Hunting, fishing, walks in the woods, working on the vehicles, tinkering around the yard getting their hands dirty. They didn’t care as long as they were out side they were happy.  
They meant in the Army and became best friends, they introduced their wives to one another and they also became best friends.  If there was music playing, they were dancing and laughing and just always having a great time. 
I remember Harold and Pat had this huge sand pile, it was sooo big, taller then the house (probably wasn’t really) but I would always remember when we pulled up to the house, I would just stare at it and couldn’t wait for dad to turn the car off so I could get out and run to the top of that sand pile.  I would get up there, and just sit down and look around. Eventually, we would all be playing “ King of the Castle” on it, and pushing one another down the hill.  I often wonder if that sand pile was as huge as I remember it being. 
Harold was a great man, always had that smirk on his face, always had his arms wide open for a hug. He will be greatly missed by anyone who new him. 
His stories will live on in all of us.
