Dad was a very hard worker always digging clams, he loved the surroundings of the beach around him! One time he got two buckets and said God I did good today, and his grandson Jeremy said Gramp I got four! I don't think he liked that too much, lol! He would look forward to his clam customers who he really enjoyed talking too. Dad lived for rabbit hunting with his dog Susie and deer hunting. He would take his grandsons Steven and Marcus hunting with him to help, by getting Marcus to jump on the brush piles to scare the rabbits out, and Steven got dad to help him shoot his deer even though it took four shots to get the deer, lol! Dad always loved wrestling, especially when him and his son Greg went to the Worcester Center in Springfield Mass to watch the big WWF (Andre The Giant) which was the highlight of his trip! One of Renee's favorite memories of Dad was when he got off the beach and would pick her up to go to the clam buyers in Weymouth, at eight years old he would let her sit and push the gas so he could watch for deer! One of my favorite memories of dad is when Dad and I (April) was 5 years old and would go to the old Save Easy grocery store with dad and buy this big yellow box of chocolate dip donuts in the freezer section on Friday nights, take them home to bake them lightly in the oven and sit together with a big glass of milk and hot donuts! Nothing ever taste so good! Everyone always looked forward to Dads favorite whipped potatoes, he made the best! He looked forward to his ice cream trips to Kimball’s Farm, fishing with Uncle Bobby in the States when he and mom would visit her family. Dad enjoyed showing off to his grandkids how good he was at beating them with checkers and crokinole! Dad was always big at celebrating and decorating for Christmas! He loved to decorate and put the tree up by himself! He took great pride in it! Dad might not be a carpenter by trade but boy he could put almost anything together including taking old pallets and making a hardwood floor for the living room and several other beautiful projects around the house! Even when dad was at his granddaughter Breanne’s house he did not like the step so he took it upon himself to fix it! No matter how cold it was outside you would see him outside in his coveralls plowing and playing on his tractor, piling wood in the hot sun or cold day, it never stopped him, he loved to keep busy! After hot summer days on the beach digging clams, Dad would enjoy taking a swim in his pool even though he couldn't swim, he would just float around in his life jacket, and then have a piece of moms famous fried dough, even though dad would like to crack jokes about moms cooking, lol. Thank God his granddaughter Madison would make him her famous flap jacks, lol! Dad always looked forward to his visits from his great granddaughter Eden and great grandson Gabriel, he said look at the little Tykes! He always smiled and gave them kisses! His grandchildren and great grand babies gave him so much joy! Dad was a great believer in Jesus Christ and was ready to meet him! Love you dad you will be greatly missed!
