Born in Barton, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith (Comeau) Robicheau.
Gary was a man of many professions. He worked at St. Lawrence Starch Port Credit in Ontario, was a backhoe operator in Cape Breton, a machine operator at Simmons Mattress in Burnside, Dartmouth, a caretaker at DEFAGA Lodge in Digby, a motorcycle mechanic at Bob Gates in Digby, a barber at Cornwallis
in Annapolis and at the barber shop in Digby where he worked alongside with Clarence Wagner.
His talent was working with wood, making furniture and renovating older homes. Gary also enjoyed his music, country and bluegrass. He took joy in playing the guitar and singing with Valerie Turner, where they would entertain seniors at different nursing homes and the Annapolis Seniors Complex.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Robicheau (Parker) of 55 years; his loving sister, Shirley Heron (Dave); nephew, Peter Hickey; nieces, Kimberley Dewolfe (Mitchell), Kathy Melanson (Dave).
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. C. Mazeroll, nursing staff, dietary, housekeeping and physio who all showed such compassion to Gary and our family.
Cremation will take place under the direction of Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby.
