Francis Myrtle Isles Gordon

GORDON, F. Myrtle age 79, of Bear River, passed away peacefully in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on November 26, 2013. Born in Bear River, she was a daughter of the late Max and Myrtle (Claes) Isles. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Greg) Applejohn, Digby and son, David (Cathy) Gordon, Sluice Point; Grandchildren Craig (Christina) Applejohn, Calgary; Nick Applejohn (Joanna Wilson), Cornwallis; Lesley Applejohn ( Ivan Mckenzie), Edmonton; Kyle Applejohn (Ashley Pacula) Edmonton; Christopher Gordon, Sluice Point; Sean Gordon, Halifax. Great Granddaughters Lila and Sadie Applejohn, Calgary. Our family wants to make special mention of Mom’s very dear friend Shirley Isles whom she loved like a sister. She is also survived by brothers Arthur (Megan) and Ken (Barb) Isles and sisters Nancy Elwood and Edna Morgan.Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, John; brothers Harold, Clarence, Boyd, Bobbie, Gerald and Fred and sister Margaret, in infancy. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 30 from Jaynes Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby. Rev. Earl Waterman will officiate with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River.
