Loving father of Jeremy (Susan) Hollis of Orlando, Florida, Amy (Chris) Rierson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Amanda Hollis of Dexter. Cherished grandfather of Dane, Drew, Madison, Derek, Colton, Codi, Austin, and Ryker. Richard is survived by his brother Doug and ex-wife Alice (Altier) and predeceased by his parents, Robert Hollis, and Lester and Betty (Wilder) Davis.
Richard retired as an electrician through IBEW Local 252 after over 40 years of service. A Pioneer High School graduate, class of 1963 and a Pinckney resident for 21 years. Richard enjoyed woodworking, boating on Bass Lake, driving his 1965 GTO, watching and attending University of Michigan, Detroit and his grandkids’ sporting events. His greatest joy and love was spending time with his family.
Friends may join the family at Richard’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 5th, at the Dexter Pub, 8114 Main Street, Dexter, MI 48130 during the Michigan football game Open House begins at 6:00 PM. He will be buried at the Washtenong Memorial Park and Mausoleum surrounded by close family.
