Maribeth graduated from Julienne High School in 1953.
Maribeth married Daniel J. Bramlage in 1956 at St. Agnes Church.
Maribeth’s four children were all born in Dayton, Ohio. The family moved to Royal Oak, Michigan in 1968. While raising her children, Maribeth was a dedicated volunteer at St. Dennis Elementary School and Bishop Foley High School.
As an empty nester, Maribeth attended Oakland University and earned a bachelor's degree in human resources in 1987. Maribeth worked for the Multiple Sclerosis Society for 10 years as a Training Coordinator.
Maribeth prayed the Rosary daily and took great comfort in her Catholic Faith. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
In retirement, Maribeth & Dan moved to Traverse City, Michigan where she created her garden paradise on their seven acres. In 2007 they moved to Dexter to be near their daughters and their families. An extra blessing to Maribeth was the neighbors who became her second family. Maribeth was active in the Dexter community and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Maribeth also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Her children remember her as a kind and patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Maribeth was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Maribeth leaves behind a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
Maribeth is survived by her daughter Elizabeth M. Gabel (Jim) of Leesburg, Virginia; her son Eric J. Bramlage (Kathy) of Bellingham, Massachusetts; her son Gregory J. Bramlage (Tannice) of Pasadena, California; and her daughter Julia B. Owdziej (John) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her brother Fredrick Keyes, her brother Thomas Keyes and her sister Nora Sharkey; her grandchildren; Jessica Bodoh, Joseph Gabel, Hallene Gabel, Hunter Bramlage, Rachael Bramlage, Daniel Bramlage, and Mary Clare Owdziej, her great-grandchildren; James, Mary, Lucia and Margaret Bodoh, Liliana and Karina Gabel, and Iris Ann Bramlage.
Maribeth was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Joseph Bramlage, her parents Richard and Mary Keyes, and her brother Richard P. Keyes II.
A visitation for Maribeth will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 3410 Broad St, Dexter, Michigan 48130.
A visitation will occur Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Village Church, 3430 Dover St, Dexter, Michigan 48130.
A funeral Mass will occur Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Village Church, 3430 Dover St, Dexter, Michigan 48130. A luncheon will follow at St. Joseph Parish Center.
