Donna Kaye Schaffer

Donna was born August 18, 1934 in New Concord, Ohio. She died peacefully at home in Dexter with her family by her side Sunday, July 13, 2014. Donna was preceded in death by her mother Gladys Lodise, her father Virgil Fitzgerald and her only sibling, Jack Fitzgerald. Donna is survived by Dale her husband of 62 years and her four daughters, Marcia Schaffer (Rocky Gonet) of Ann Arbor, MI, Susan Schaffer of Coopersville, MI, Judy Muxlow (Leigh) of Brown City, MI, Linda Sikes (Joe) of Lagrange, GA. Donna is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her always playful and loving dog Beau. She was a faithful, committed and loving wife for over 60 years and raised four smart, confident, and successful daughters. She was an avid bridge player and determined New York Times crossword puzzle solver always doing them in ink and never making a mistake. Donna loved spending time with her family especially playing cards and laughing with her daughters and grandchildren. There will be a private family service at the gravesite. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice.
