Mary graduated from DeWitt High School with the class of 1955. She worked in clerical and retail areas but always said her favorite, by far, was being a Mom. She enjoyed music, dancing, animals, travel, fishing, and interior decoration. Her children fondly remember her as being the best mom ever. She will be missed, and her memory forever cherished, by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her infant brother, who had a very special place in her heart, her first husband, Richard Davis; second husband, Cloyce Maxwell; and her parents, Jens and Lena (Pretzel) Kowalski.
