June Swan was born on June 3, 1930 in Perrinton, MI, the daughter of Thomas and Winifred (Sage) Trefil, passed away August 3, 2015 at the
age of 85.
June was an active member of the Square Dance Bath Shooting Stars and Lioness Club of DeWitt for many years. She was an excellent seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley in 2001; and one grandson. Surviving to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Gail (Ed) Cary and Lori Root; one son, Steven Swan; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Thomas (Barb) Trefil and Robert (Sara) Trefil; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong good friends, Bernard and Helen Goodknecht. We are inviting everyone to wear their Tigers' gear to celebrate June’s life.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 East Washington St, DeWitt, MI. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Russ McCoy will be officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial gardens.
