George W. Baird

George graduated from Bath H.S. and loved being a lifelong farmer, serving in several of the Agriculture Associations of Clinton Co. George was a former member of Redeemer UMC and more recently a member of the Bath Baptist Church. Most of all, George loved his wonderful late wife, Helen, who he married in 1932.

George was preceded in death by parents, William and Edna (McDowell) Baird; son, Warren; and sisters, Ella Blizzard and Evelyn Curren.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Stanley (Pat) Baird, Bruce (Mary Ann) Baird, Clint Baird; daughter-in-law, Sue Baird; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 pm Wednesday June 28, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, with Pastor Richard Cole officiating. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the chapel.
