Doris Ann Hodges, age 90, Michigan passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was born in Lansing, Michigan to Frank and Lucy Dyer. She grew up in Lansing, graduating from Eastern High School. She was a proud homemaker, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris attended Redeemer United Methodist Church in DeWitt. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, especially at Higgins Lake, the bingo hall, and the casino. Doris particularly loved children and pets.
Surviving are her children, Debra Gould, Linda Fech (Bruce), Barbara Travis (Paul), and William Hodges (Jo Ann); grandchildren, David Hodges (Jennifer), Doris Bancroft (Bradley), Jeffery Gould, Rose Radlicki (Brett), Nicholas Fech, Joseph Fech, Matthew Fech, Andrea Holmes (Kerry), Luke Gibson (Carla), Elizabeth Shepard (Kyle), Zachary Travis, Kayla Swindlehurst, Jessica Whitman (JT), and Erika Hodges; twenty great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Helene Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Robert L. Hodges; second husband of five years, Lawrence Bissell; children, Robert Hodges Jr., and Jeffery Hodges; Siblings, Grace Marie Bentley, Frank Dyer, Pauline Shue, Glenn Dyer and Paul Dyer
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00-8:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
