Donald E. Wilder, born April 15, 1920 in Central Lake, MI, celebrated his 93rd birthday and left this life to continue his journey April 23, 2013. He was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School, class of 1939. Mr. Wilder had a career in the US Navy for 22 years, serving in World War II, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Middle East Crisis in Beirut. He was the President of Farm Bureau of Bristol County, MA and minister, serving 33 years, in the Community of Christ. Services for Mr. Wilder will be held at12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at the community of Christ, 310 N. Whittemore St., St. Johns, MI, with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Hometown Hospice, 1681 Woodbridge Park Avenue, Lapeer, MI 48446, and/or the Rosewood Adult Foster Care Special Fund, 1070 Webb Rd, DeWitt, MI 48820, in memory of Donald Wilder.
