Zohrab was born on September 22, 1936 in Iskenderun, Turkey to parents Hairabed and Aghavni Assadourian. He was the last survivor of 4 children which included brothers Roupen, Vartkes and sister Dzovig.
Zohrab grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and from the age of 16 worked in various places around the Middle East. As time passed by, he returned home and got married to Mary Koujaian on October, 23 1966. In January of 1969, they had their first child, Ani. In 1970 they moved to Souillac, France, where Zohrab's extended family lived. He ended up learning skills for his future profession as an autobody repairman, which he loved doing. In September 1974, they had their second child Rafi. Zohrab was also a staunch supporter of the local Rugby team where his cousin Armen Assadourian played. He was considered a super fan of the team.
In January of 1979, the Assadourian family moved to Chicago, IL. Zohrab became a member and supporter of the local Homenetmen chapter, which reflected his love for sports. He continued his work as an auto body repairman and provided for his family. He worked as an auto body repairman until the age of 84 when he finally retired and lived out the remainder of his days in peace.

A funeral mass for Zohrab will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church, 1701 Greenwood Rd., Glenview, IL 60026. Following the funeral mass will be an interment at Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
