He was born on April 24,1958 in Chicago, Illinois to loving parents Robert and Agnes Waymel.
Bob leaves behind his longtime sweetheart, Nevan Thron; beloved children, Robert (Stephanie) and Tim Waymel; cherished siblings Sue Staebler, Wayne Waymel, and Ellie (Wayne) Guzman; and many adored nieces and nephews.
Bob passionately enjoyed family & friends and being outdoors. He could frequently be found in the company of others while biking & walking the trails of Chicagoland, barbecuing delicious meals, and listening to music on the patio overlooking his beautiful yard.
He was incredibly festive and decorated for all holidays. He was particularly excited for Christmas and would enthusiastically turn his house into an impressive winter wonderland while listening to Christmas music. The family has many fond memories of holiday gatherings at the bedecked house and it was great to share these experiences with the the next generation, Bob's great nieces and nephews. The season culminated with viewings of Christmas Vacation, The Little Drummer Boy, and The Honeymooners with his family.
Bob was kind and generous. He helped people move around the country, was always available when you needed an extra hand or help with repairs, and spent several years as a dedicated caregiver to his mom. He was an all-around great guy and we will miss him.
