Elizabeth Mary LaPlant, 88 of Des Plaines was born October 22, 1934 in Joliet to the late James and Myrtle (nee Conklin) Smith and passed away on February 19, 2023. Elizabeth was married to the late Roger LaPlant, she was the loving mother to Holli Lefavour, and John (Christine) LaPlant and loving adopted mother to Jan Yates, Bubba “Donald” Hoff, and Chrissy Clausen, beloved grandmother to Matthew Lefavour, and Emily (Anthony) Lefavour-Stowe, dear great-grandmother to Eleanor, and dear caregivers Allison Cunningham, Carolyn Terry, Julie Russell, Laura Mays, Linda Jurczak, and Pat Pupovac. She will be missed dearly by Friends, Family, Cats, Birds, Skunks, Opossum, Squirrels, Coyotes, and any animals who frequented her home.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. The funeral service will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM with visitation 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
