Earl worked 43 years for Commonwealth Edison. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Earl served overseas during the Korean War and was proud to have taken part in the Honor Flight. He spent many years as a volunteer at the Lattof YMCA where he enjoyed lap swimming. He was a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts. He loved camping, gardening, woodworking and traveling. He spent his time going to his grandkids sporting events and in recent years supporting his great-grandchildren in all their endeavors.
Earl is survived by his children, Steve Dueball (Kari) and Kathy Dueball, grandchildren, Scott Dueball (Genna), and Heather Rehm (Andrew), great-grandchildren, Gavin, Gretchen, Charlotte, Parker, Nora, Joseph and Lucas.
He is preceded in death by his wife Frankie Dueball (nee Murray).
A visitation for Earl will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights), followed immediately by a committal service at Memorial Park Cemetery (9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie).
