Sharon "Sherry " Marie Burke, age 74, of Englewood, Colorado passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Sherry was born October 4, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to parents William "Bill" and Carol (Summers) Bell.
She had 3 children at an early age, Mike, Scott (deceased) and Rick Van Derwerken. Sherry married Tom Burke in 1973. She is survived by her loving husband Tom; sons Mike and Rick Van Derwerken; step-children Lynda Pfaff, Hayden Burke, Brad Burke, Diane Muller and sister Kelly Harris of Arizonia.
She is preceded in death by her son Scott Van Derwerken, and brother Bill Luke whom recently just passed.
She supported her husband in both businesses and brought both families together. She was a great partner in life and business. Everyone "Loved" Sherry.
A visitation for Sherry will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, 10150 E. Belleview Ave., Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Graveside services to follow at Olinger Hampden Cemetery , 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. A reception will occur after the burial at The Home of Tom and Sherry Burke, 5347 S. Havana Court, Englewood, CO 80111.
