Sara C. Morales was born in Sterling, Colorado on April 26, 1923 to Feliciano and Jovita Avila. They moved to Denver in the early 1940's. She met and married Victor Morales in 1944. Sara was a housewife and stay at home Mom until all her children were in school. She did house cleaning for a few years, then later worked a the Denver Public Schools as a cafeteria helper (Lunch Lady). She did this to be with us in the summer days. She later knew we were ok to be left alone so she worked and retired from 1st International Bank in the mid 80's. In the years after retirement she enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, crocheting and of course her family. As the years went on Mom's health was up and down, but she kept going. She was a strong and determined Mom and that was not going to hinder her family life. After her bouts with health problems it made her stronger to live a full life and was very healthy when she passed on June 7, 2013. Sara is survived by her children; Rosenda Andrea Ortiz, Veronica (Darius) Newland, Irene (Lucky) Salazar and The Late Vito Morales. Grandchildren; Andrew Herrieta, Michael Hurrieta, Alicia Gonzales (Herrieta), Andrea Nuanes (Herrieta), Tinisa Salazar, Nicole Holland (Murray), Sara Martinez (Salazar) Donna Salazar. Great Grandchildren; Briana Hurrieta, Martina Gonzales, Jalene Gonzales, Ariana Gonzales, Anaya Gongzles, Raquel Hurrieta, Andy Hurrita, Jerimiha Nuanes, Jacob Nuanes, Donae Murray, Brandon Holland, Braylon Holland, Tori Lucero, Vito Martinez and Angelena Martinez.. Rosary, Tuesday 7:00pm Olinger Hampden Chapel, 8600 E. Hampden Ave. Mass Wednesday 10:30am, All Saints Catholic Church 2559 South Federal Blvd. Interment Fort Logan National Cemetery at 12:30pm, Staging Area "B".
