Samia graduated the class of 1996 from East high school, Duluth, Minnesota. She had a big heart, a love for animals and was a kind giving person. She loved to draw and write poems. She also loved cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. Samia was a homemaker most of her adult life, but recently found joy in working as a waitress because she loved people and the people she worked with.
Samia is survived by, son Savon Rooker of Duluth, Minnesota; son Micheal Garmon of Lakewood, Colorado; daughter Janae Cleveland of Iron River, Michigan; grandson Malcom Michaud Rooker of Duluth, Minnesota; her mother Alecia Lowney of Conifer, Colorado; brother Steven Lowney of Aurora, Colorado; aunt Tracy Rushing, uncle John Rooker, and uncle Byrne Rooker. In recent years Samia reestablished a relationship with her second child, daughter Karesha Kennedy, who was placed for adoption as an infant and resides in Belding, Michigan with her son Bryce.
The family has planned a private viewing only. Friends of Samia and the family are invited to participate in a celebration of Samia’s life is being held on Saturday, May 8th from 3pm – 5:30pm at DeKoevend Park, Pavilion Shelter B, 6301 S. University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
