On October 25, 2011 Rita McMullin passed away at her home in Denver Colorado surrounded by family and friends. Rita was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1945, but was adopted as an infant by Lou and Martha Marcelle. The Marcelles returned, with Rita, to their home in Southern California and an older brother Ron. Rita was raised as the much loved daughter of Lou and Martha and was the apple of her father’s eye. She and her brother grew up in Woodland Hills, California. Rita Graduated from Taft High School in 1963 and was married to Chuck McMullin on June 19, 1965. Their first child, Matthew Edward McMullin, was born in Mountain View, California on November 30, 1967. They then moved to Denver, Colorado in 1970, where their youngest son, Sean Patrick McMullin, was born on Saint Patricks Day 1971. Rita loved Colorado and enjoyed camping and fishing in the Rockies and she soon became a dedicated Bronco fan. Rita’s loving warmth and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew her. Rita is survived by her husband Chuck, her two sons Matthew and Sean, her Granddaughter Malena and her brother Ron Marcelle.
