Lan Nguyen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at home in Fountain Valley, CA on March 8, 2024, at the age of 95 years old. She was born in Ha Noi, Vietnam on June 12, 1928 to Mr. Suu Van Dang and Mrs. Dat Thi Le. She had one sister and two brothers and was the youngest daughter of four children.
She was married in 1947 to Anton Chau Thanh Nguyen in Ha Noi, Vietnam and together they had seven children. Five daughters and two sons. The family immigrated to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1975 and shortly thereafter relocated to Aurora, Colorado. She became a United States citizen in 1996. She lived a comfortable life surrounded by her children in California, Colorado, Texas and Washington.
Lan was preceded in death by her second eldest daughter Loan, her husband Anton Chau, and her siblings. She is survived by her six children (and their spouses): Lien (Bang), Minh (Hai), Huong, Hung (Phuong), Cuong (Kieu), and Thu (Nghia).
Also, twelve grandchildren (and their spouses): Quynh Anh (Dave), Michele, Chris (Heather), Amy (Danyell), Allan (Jessica), Peter, Matthew, Nathan, James, Paul, Adrienne and Jeffrey; and eight great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Benjamin, Ethan, Emery, Adalyn, Everest, Quynh and Eleanor.
A private rosary and vigil service for Lan will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231.
A private funeral service will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO 80222.
A private graveside service will be on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery.
