Elizabeth Bell-Scott

On February 13, 2023 Elizabeth Bell-Scott, age 87, a loving and kind woman full of grace was called home. To know her was to love her. Elizabeth was the second child born into the family of fourteen children of Milton and Annie Lou Manning.

Elizabeth married Rudolph Bell predeceased and had five children and three stepchildren. One child, Cynthia predeceased who provided years of homecare to Elizabeth out of love. Elizabeth married Willie Scott Jr. predeceased. Elizabeth and Willie Scott Jr were members of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church. Elizabeth did not like receiving attention or recognition, which was difficult not to let the world know of her kindness and sweet disposition. She had a very happy marriage. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, exercising, dancing, Bingo and shopping at Cherry Creek Mall.

Elizabeth retired from National Jewish Hospital after working as a CNA, then a Ward secretary and finished her career at National Jewish Hospital working in the Donation and Funding Department. Elizabeth went to work at Seniors Inc as an employment counselor, locating employment for senior citizens.

Elizabeth and Willie were members of the Colorado Iowa Travel Club. Elizabeth worked on the fund raising committee for travel club college scholarships. Giving of her time was ongoing. Elizabeth encouraged higher education proving a person is never to old to learn. She took college courses as time availed. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family consisting of several sisters, brothers, children, grandchildren and would converse with extended family members just to keep in touch. Elizabeth was interested in the new instead of the old. She didn’t even like antiques. Elizabeth was more about the present.

This beautiful lady will be missed.

A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by Funeral Service at 11:30 AM both at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. Graveside service will occur Monday, February 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM Staging Area "A" at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80260. The family invites guests after the Burial service for a reception at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231.
