Betty was born to Hazel Arvidson and Nels Victor Locker on April 13, 1925.
Betty loved her family and brought joy to those around her. She was proud of her Swedish heritage and traditions and made the best Swedish Rye bread.
Betty was a homemaker for many years, looking after her husband and three girls. Family trips to Glenwood Springs were a tradition with joyous singing to pass the time. Betty shared her love of Glenwood with her grandchildren.
Betty loved her church, serving as church secretary for over 40 years. She was devoted to God and she would often say, “My Church, My Church, My Dear Old Church.”
The family cabin was the host for many years of family reunions with laughing, crazy games and great food. The cabin walls are covered with mementos of these years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Lee Sweeney and then her husband Clarence Wickstrom, and her sister Elaine Ohlman. She is survived by her three daughters Sandy, Diane and Laurie, 5 grand children and 10 great grandchildren.
