God's light shines through her!
Betty was born on October 26th, 1929 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 17th, 2023.
Preceded in death by her mother Alice Doris Ferguson/Gentry, father Walter Thomas Ferguson, and her beloved husband of over 71 years, Jack Scott West Jr.
She is survived by her children, Jill Ann Byers (Billy Byers) of Aurora, CO, Tami Jean West of Fountain, CO, and son Jack Scott West III (Elisa Llamido) of Orlando FL. She has 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a joyful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her children and always said she loved playing with her kids! She took great pride in sharing their life's accomplishments. Betty was known for her kindness, happiness, and her infectious laughter. She had and an ever- shining disposition to life, nature, faith, and family.
She will always be known for her amazing peach cobbler and special waffle breakfasts, enjoyed by many friends and family. Betty opened her heart and her home to those she loved. Those who had the privilege of knowing her always knew what it felt like to be truly welcomed and enjoyed.
As a lifelong devoted Christian, she lived and loved her Bible studies, working with her church and women's AGLOW.
God's light truly shined through her.
She will be truly missed and her light will shine forever through the many lives she has touched throughout her lifetime.
A graveside service for Betty will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80260.
