Sherry Lynn Oden

Sherry was born Tuesday, April 18, 1950 in Denison, Texas, grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and attended Grand Prairie High School. Sherry was self-employed most of her life and moved back to Denison several years ago to take care of her parents. Sherry enjoyed helping others, she had a soft spot in her heart for the elderly and was always there to help in any way she could or to lend an ear when needed. Sherry was a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Survivors include her parent, Glen and Pat Oden, her sister and brother-in-law Annette and Billy Goins and her brother and sister-in-law Mark and Rose Oden, her children Craig Browne, Eli Hancock and Blaine Hancock and their wives, Michelle Browne, Raquiel Hancock and Journey Hancock as well as her grandchildren; Corey, Adalya, Valeria, Dasha, Kinsley, Eli Jr., Ariana, Blanca, Leticia, Jasmine, Alondra, Bradon, Makayla and Peyton. Other surviving relatives include Wanda Odom and her children, Paula Cloud, Rodney Odom, Stanley Odom, Tina Burham and her husband Doug; Betty Vest and her children, Kenneth, Debbie and Mike; Lavern Vest and his wife Joyce and their children, John Vest, Sharon Ward, Shellia Vest, Dickie Vest and Joey Vest.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison, Texas with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating.
