On March 22, 1955, the Lord blessed Nathan Jesse and Grace James with their beautiful first child in Norfolk, England. Gillian “Gill” grew up in Denison and attended St. Xavier’s and McDaniel schools and graduated from DHS in 1973. She received her Associates of Nursing from GCJC and became a Registered Nurse.
Gill enlisted in the USAF in 1977 and served her country for 5 ½ years in Little Rock, Arkansas and Monterey, California and the majority of years at Yokota Air Base, Fussa Shi, Japan, where she climbed Mount Fuji and where she accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized in September 1981.
Gill married Keith Moore and gave birth to Nathan Daniel in 1987 and Joshua Richard in 1989. Gill furthered her nursing education and received her Masters of Nursing from TWU, becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She received her minister’s license upon graduation from Charis Bible College, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2013. Gill was a faithful and loving servant of the Lord, a beloved mother and sister and a cherished friend to many. Her heart for the mission’s ministry allowed her to serve in places like El Salvador, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Acuna, Mexico and NYC! She was a member of Victory Life Church in Sherman, Texas for 20 plus years.
Gillian is survived by her two sons, sisters Kay Sikes and Jackie Kernaghan and their families and brother Fred.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Victory Life Church, 4100 N. Travis, Sherman, TX 75093 with Gillian’s son, Joshua Moore officiating.
