Frances (Taylor) Spencer, 65, went to be with her heavenly Father on January 29, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church with the Reverend Keith Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11am in the church prior to the services. Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison has charge of the arrangements.
Frances was born in Pulaski, Virginia, daughter of Robert and Elsie Taylor, on July 31, 1948, with her identical twin, Linda Clay.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Harold Spencer; her ex-husband George Randall Griffin of Lynchburg, Va; her daughter, Angie Griffin of Lynchburg, Va., her husband Roger and their two children Savannah and Josh Mason; her son, Bobbie Griffin and his fiancé Kim Harmon of Lynchburg, VA and daughter, Felicia; her twin sister, Linda Clay and her husband, Bobby Clay; three nephews, five nieces, and 15 great nieces and nephews.
Frances was a very proud wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and loved with all of her heart. Many knew her as Frannie as she carried out her passion at Texoma Medical Center for 35 years caring for others and sharing her love for Jesus while inspiring others.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from those that loved Frannie. She will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 3500 South Park Avenue, Denison, in her memory.
