Adania Elizabeth Moore Onstot, of Denison, Texas passed away Sunday June 3, 2018. She was born Tuesday, September 14, 1937 in Parsons, Kansas to Rufus Smallwood Moore (Jack) & Ella Mariah Maynard Moore.
Left this Life and was welcomed into God's glorious presence. Never to be burdened by illness, sorrow, pain, or loneliness. She loved the Lord, and what a beautiful dawning of a new life to be with her Lord.
She is now in the presence of her son, Stephen, her Husband, Bob, and her family and friends.
Adania attended and graduated from Muskogee Beauty College in Muskogee, Oklahoma receiving a Diploma on March, 7, 1955 and worked with her Mother at Ella's Beauty Shop for several years. In 1957, Adania moved to Denison, Texas with her parents when her father was transferred there with MK&T Railroad. Adania met Bobbie Don Onstot and was married on October 5, 1957 in Durant, Oklahoma. On November 18, 1958 they had a son, Stephen Wayne Onstot in Lawton, Oklahoma when Bobbie was in the United States Army. When he left the Army they moved to Richardson, Texas for Bobbie's new job at Collins Radio. On January 8, 1964 they had another son, Jeffrey Craig Onstot(t). In 1969 they moved from Richardson to Van Alstyne, Texas and completely furnished a two story home with only antiques that Adania and Bob had spent years collecting from their trips around America. Adania and Bob had visited every state in the contiguous United States with their children, and took a lot of pleasure in antique hunting. Adania was an animal lover. She had many dogs throughout the years, and she loved canaries. She even raised Yorkshire Terriers for several years.
Adania attended First Baptist Church in Van Alstyne, Texas. She was a Room Mother in both of her son's classes throughout their times in school. She gave her time for both of her son's school functions, and was very quick to make crafts and party supplies when needed, and worked the Fall Festival booths for both of her sons every year. She also was very quick to make food for anything that was needed.
Adania was employed at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in several different departments for 22 years. She also invented the Wilson N. Jones slogan, "Healing Hands, Caring Hearts".
Adania was survived by her son, Jeffrey C. Onstott and his wife Kelly of Howe, Texas; four grandchildren, Stephen J. Onstott and Erica Trillian Smith of Lawton, Oklahoma, Mara Onstott, Adonica Onstott-Thomas, and husband Brandon, and Amanda Onstot of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Ezekiel Thomas, Amara Thomas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother- in-law John and wife and Barbara Onstot, of Garland, Texas; a close friend, Carol Fox of Denison, Texas; and a lot of friends who loved her.
She is preceded in death by Bobbie Onstot; Stephen W. Onstot; Ella Moore Kellogg; and R.S. "Jack" Moore.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Adania at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 8 at 2:00 pm.
