Noreen Rubin, (nee Crane), 80, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Highland Park, Illinois; beloved wife of Allen; loving mother of Julie (Sam) Yusim and Ron (Risa) Rubin; loving nonny of Alexis (Michael) Elman and Max Yusim, Jami and Jared Rubin, loving sister of Ellen (Jimmy) Isenson and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; adoring “mommy” to puppy Pippin. preceded by dear parents, Arnold and Gertrude Crane.
Noreen received a degree in education. After raising her children, Noreen returned to teaching gifted students. An accomplished ceramicist, she won many awards for her exquisite unique work. Raising orchids was a passion that connected her with nature. She loved her wonderful dogs, large and small. Noreen adored spending time with her family and friends. Everyone loved her; Noreen was a great listener and a wonderful friend. She delighted in hearing stories about her grandchildren’s accomplishments. Above all, Noreen was a loving caregiver to her husband throughout his struggle with Alzheimer’s’, attending to his every need.
A chapel service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside-Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 7205 W. Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL followed by a catered reception in the funeral home.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 West Montrose Ave., Norridge, Illinois, followed by Shiva at the home of Julie (Sam) Yusim.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Noreen’s memory are appreciated and requested to be made to the American Heart Association.
