It is with profound sadness that we share with you the passing of Judith M. Rubin (née Butwick), beloved wife of the late Leonard Jacobson and the late Samuel Rubin, on November 21st. Loving mother of Andrew (Debra) Jacobson, Diane Jacobson and the late Howard Jacobson. Dear stepmother of Jeffrey (Patricia) Rubin and Joseph (Corinne) Rubin. Adored grandmother of Julian, Stephen, Gregory, Robert (Candice), Rebecca and Alyssa. Cherished great grandmother of Ryan. Sister of the late Irene Winkler and dear aunt of Henry Winkler. She will be greatly missed by many loving cousins and friends.
Judy was born in London, England on May 28, 1925 to Hyam and Florence (Goldberg) Butwick. She became interested in dance, music and acting at a very young age. After living through the turbulent years of WWII as a teenager, she moved to New York City in 1950. She met her first husband Leonard and they then raised their family in the NJ suburb of Tenafly. There she continued her interest in acting through a long and successful career in community theater. In 1981, she married her second husband, Samuel, and they retired to Palm Beach County, Florida where they enjoyed a long and happy retirement, extensive travel and over 28 years of hospital volunteer work.
