It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Gaynor on October 15, 2024. He was a cherished father, a loving husband, a devoted grandfather, and a proud great-grandfather.
Born on March 4, 1945, in Brockton, Massachusetts to the late Norman and Anne Gaynor, Alan led a life filled with kindness, generosity, and love. He was known for his unwavering devotion to family, passion for golf, and delight in watching his grandchildren play sports.
Throughout his life, Alan touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy as a traveling salesman that was marked by his dedication to his customers and his tireless work ethic. He faced profound heartbreak with the loss of his beloved child, Cary, whose memory continued to be a guiding light and source of strength. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Fredlyn, his children, Robert, Debra, and Kristen, his grandchildren, Timothy, Kate, Michael, Brianna, Joshua, Tyler, Dylan, and Olivia, and his great-grandchildren, Bayla and Beckett.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on November 10th at 10AM at Stanetsky’s Memorial Chapel in Salem MA followed by a grave side ceremony at Temple Emanu-el Cemetery in Danvers, MA., Shiva will be observed at 8 Aspen Road in North Reading following the services till 7pm and Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 7pm, then at 23423 Serene Meadow Dr S in Boca Raton, FL on Thursday and Friday November 14th and 15th between the hours of 1pm and 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 In Alan’s memory.
Though he may no longer walk among us, Alan’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who love him, and he is now reunited with Cary. May his memory forever be a blessing.
