Delcambre – A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Fabiola Theriot Albert, will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 19, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Harrington will be the celebrant. Following the mass, Mrs. Albert will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, with the Rosary being prayed at 4:30 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Monday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
Mrs. Albert passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday October 15, 2020 at East Ridge Nursing Home in Abbeville.
Fabby, as she was affectionately known, was born and raised in New Iberia. Her life revolved around children. She spent the majority of her time babysitting and as a live-in-nanny for many. She loved to read, complete word searches, cook and spend time with her family telling stories about her past.
She is survived by her three children, Lyndi (Eddie) Landlinais, Brian (Michelle) Albert, and Jennifer “Jenny” Albert; her grandchildren, DeLannie (Tren) Delcambre, Jeric Langlinais, Corey (Megan) Albert, Tiffany Adams, Hunter Albert; nine great grandchildren; her siblings, Anna (Jerry) Roan and Johnny Theriot; and many other children that she raised and loved as if they were her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Octave Theriot and Stella Landry Theriot; a brother, Carroll Theriot; her sister Genevieve Crochet; and three grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Jeric Langlinais, Seth Richard, Jamie Albert, David Crochet, Jeff Crochet and Blake Boatwright. Honorary pallbearers are Corey Albert and Hunter Albert.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs of Grace Hospice and East Ridge Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to our dear mother.
