Adam Marquez

On Monday July 1st, 2019, Adam Marquez, beloved child and friend to us all, passed away in McFarland, California at the age 24. Adam was born August 8th, 1994 in Bakersfield, California to Ana and Gerardo Marquez.

Adam was born in Bakersfield, California and grew up in McFarland, California while graduating McFarland High School in 2012 with so many friends. For the next couple of years he studied hard at both the University of California: Irvine and Bakersfield College while along making new friends. His final achievement came with great news that he was accepted and would be returning back to UC Irvine to complete his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Adam's favorite hobbies throughout his life was playing sports, competing in chess and of course no one can forget his passion for playing video games. Throughout his joyous time with all of us, he was greatly known for making everyone laugh. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. His most charitable act of kindness to us all was his determination to help others, and it extended so far as to even missing his college classes just to make sure he donated blood at the Houchin Community Blood Bank. His charitable acts will never be forgotten and will be continued regularly by all his friends and family.

As the youngest of the family, Adam had a loving father, Gerardo Marquez, and a loving mother, Ana Marquez, that raised him and cared for him with all their heart. Within his dearest family, he also had two, older caring brothers, Ivan and Eric Marquez, that made sure he was always loved. His family never stopped growing as it extended far beyond his close friends, teachers and even relatives that cared for him as their own.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12th, 2019 at the St. Elizabeth Church in McFarland, CA at 9 o’clock a.m. Flowers or donations may be sent to 707 Browning Road, Delano, CA. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.delanomortuary.com for the Marquez family.
