After working a couple of jobs Sharon ultimately planted her feet at Tinker Air Force base where she handled and inspected materials for our Military air crafts. She loved working with everything from the F-15 Fighter Jet to the huge AWACS planes. She always had great stories about meeting higher ranked officers and pilots on the base, and just having casual conversations with them all. Sharon was mom not just to her maternal kids, but also to many of the kids in the neighborhood, and the friends of her children. If any of her kids friends came over to the house to stay for a few hours, overnight, days, or months, she made sure you were well taken care of. She was a huge giver. Sharon loved helping anyone in need, and giving gifts to people. Sharon was the mother to sport loving boys, and loved sports herself. She loved attending all of her children’s sporting events no matter the distance or time of day, She never missed a single event. Sharon also loved her OU Sooners and the OKC Thunder. If a game was on she was watching and yelling at the television screen as if they could hear a word she was saying.
Sharon was a loving, kind, and caring mother of 3 boys. In 1969 she was wed to Mr. Virgil Parrish, and a few years later had their 3 boys: Virgil (Butch III), Michael, and Chaz.
