Sharon Kay Cole, 73, passed away on February 18, 2018. Sharon was born on August 21, 1944 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Roland and Bertha Marie (Pixley) Mullen. Sharon loved staying busy whether it was arts and crafts making personalized greeting cards for her friends and family, sewing, or spending time outdoors. She and her family enjoyed traveling to Branson, Missouri, Albuquerque, New Mexico for the balloon festival, or even a weekend trip to Tulsa. Sharon was a long time member of the Del View Baptist Church in Del City. She retired from General Motors after working for many years as an assembler. After retiring, she made it a point to spend more time with her family, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Bertha Marie (Pixley) Mullen; son, Jason Cole; brother, Roland Mullen Jr., and sisters, Wanda Nichols and Pauline Kessinger; and brother-in-law, L.D. Kessinger. Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Samuel Cole; daughter, Tammy Burkhart; grandchildren, Heather Burkhart, Kenny Burkhart, Breanna Norton, and Ryan Cole; 4 great-grandchildren; 1great-great grandchild; brother, James Mullen; sister, Sybil Broadwater; daughter-in-law, LaTonya Cole; and many other nieces, nephews, and family members who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
