Patricia Ann Geurin

Patricia graduated from Southeast High School in 1954 and dearly loved the United States of America and her lifetime home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Patricia served her beloved State of Oklahoma diligently for 28 years. In 1996, she retired from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife conservation where she was the Secretary to the Chief of Law Enforcement. She immediately started a new chapter in her career at the Oklahoma State Capitol as Secretary to Representative Joe Hutchins. Patricia married Ron Geurin in 1955 and they remained married for the next 57 years. She will be greatly missed by her husband Ron Geurin; son David Geurin and Esteban Aviles; daughter Terri and her husband David Ferrell; daughter Jill Macon; and devoted grand-daughter Lauren Geurin and grand-son Tommy Escalera, as well as her closely knit siblings, Adda Bortz of Mustang, OK; Beverly Huston of Oklahoma City; Faye Mathis of Oklahoma City, Verona Hunter of LaGrange, TX and brother Pete Lancaster of Del City, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was greeted in heaven by her parents F.L. and Lydia Lancaster, grandparents Roscoe and Carrie Akin, and a host of friends and loved ones among them Margaret Ferrell and Alice Vandiver. The service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Vision Stone Church located at 7200 S. Walker in Oklahoma City on Saturday March 31, 2012. Interment will follow at the Sunny Lane Cemetery at 4000 SE 29th St in Del City, OK. Lunch will be served at the church at noon. The viewing will be On Friday March 30, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
