Larry Don Slaughter

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 5 years and later joined the reserves. Don was a member of the American Legion, Post 0012 and was a scout executive for the Boy Scouts of America for 26 years. Don taught Sunday school and children’s church for many years. He loved sharing his puppet ministry with children. He loved collecting and watching movies and also, reading and learning new things.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Elaine Slaughter; son, Scott Slaughter; second wife, Nickie Slaughter; daughter, Lisa Slaughter. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley; children, Chuck Slaughter (Gayle), Vance Farrell (Michella), James Farrell, Kristofer Burton (Rebecca), Caleb Burton (Shelly); grandchildren, Jared Slaughter, Courtney Slaughter Corbello (Shawn), Cathrine, Patricia and Victoria Farrell, James, EmilyAnne, Kaleb, Kanyon and Bennie Burton; siblings, Richard Slaughter (Kathryn), Garry Slaughter (Sharon) and Debbie Schiller.
