John E. Sprinkle, Jr. "Mike", 69 of OKC passed away on Sept 25, 2016. He was born in Mobile, AL to John E. Sprinkle, Sr. "Jack" and Sara Walters Sprinkle on October 11, 1946. He lived in many countries as a child and graduated from Balboa High School in the Panama Canal Zone.
He served in the Air Force and then he became an OKC firefighter for over 26 years. He loved this job, helping people and having good friends and good times at the fire stations. He also painted homes and built the most beautiful wood decks that families are still enjoying to this day. As a young adult he enjoyed boating, fishing, and water skiing with his two sons and their many friends.
After retirement from the OKC FD, he and his wife fell in love with the sport of scuba diving, traveling anywhere the diving was good. He even took a job at a scuba- shop in OKC to be involved in it on dry land. Mike had a joking personality, and being with him was fun for adults and a little frustrating for the all the kids he loved to tease so much!
Mike is preceded in death by his father, John E. Sprinkle, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Debra Evans and his beloved mother Sara Sprinkle of Oklahoma City. Also his son Chad of Newcastle and son Jason, his wife Joshalyn of Tulsa. He leaves behind grandchildren, Chad's son Joshua and daughter MaKayla. He considered their children: Chris , Avery, and Parker his grandchildren too.
