Ethel Rosella Stephenson was born Aug. 25, 1920 in Canton, OK, she was the daughter of William Thomas Seifried and Emma Eliza (Blanka) Seifried. She passed early Sunday morning April 9 in Edmond, OK. She married James Porter Stephenson on April 22, 1936. They made their home and farmed west of Oakwood until the mid-1950s when they moved to Watonga. They were well known in the farming communities of Oakwood and Watonga. In 2010 she moved to Edmond to be closer to her sister.
Ethel enjoyed playing golf, sewing, cooking and working hard in her yard. She was also an avid pro-basketball and football fan. She always watched the games on TV and could even give you the names of most of the players.
She is survived by her sister, Glenda Eisenhour and husband Lloyd Eisenhour, Edmond, OK, and her niece Connie Higgins in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Charles William Seifried, her two nephews, Darrel D. and Paul Wayne Seifried and one niece, Melanie Marie Eisenhour Salter.
