Bernard grew up in Ringwood, he loved horses especially his favorite horse “Dan”. Bernard served in the United States Army during World War II and later joined the Air Force Reserves. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic. He participated in Senior Citizens activities in Harrah and Nicoma Park. He enjoyed his family, friends, fishing, playing cards, dominoes, and traveling whenever possible.
He is survived by 3 daughters; Lyla and husband Dale Miller, Lynda and husband Thomas Bryant, and Barbara Medina; 3 sons; Lyle and wife Barbara, Jack and wife Kathy, and Danny Arnold; 17 grandchildren; Carrie and Nate Lawson, Stephanie and Brian Garrett, Kristen Hancock, Kirk and Dee Mosier, Kyle Arnold, Melisa and Mike Robinson, Kevin Whiteley, Jamie Arnold, Micah Arnold, Melisa Hall, Jennifer Bryant, T.J. Bryant and Jessica Medina. 16 great-grandchildren; Mario Brent, Brittany, Billy, Wesley Lawson, Trace, Abby and Ethan Arnold, Elise and Alex Garrett, Carrissa, Kristofer, Colin and Courtney Mosier, Patrick, Madison, Jordyn Hall, and Paul Reil.
1 sister: Donna Butts, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; 6 sisters; 1 brother; and 1 son Jeff Wayne Arnold. Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
