John C. Egan, age 81, of Dix Hills, New York passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was a big New York sports fan, cheering on his favorites the New York Giants and New York Yankees. He enjoyed bowling in his past time, but enjoyed nothing more than racing around with his grandkids. Survived by his beloved wife, Pauline and loving children Eileen Egan (Glenn Bakos) and Kathleen Giarraputo (Frank). Cherished Papa to Nicholas and Jenna. Devoted brother to James Egan (Maria), Jill Congero (Late Nick), the late Patricia Miller and the late Judith Wagner (Edwin).
Visitation for John will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home,1785 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, New York 11729. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 10:45 AM at St Matthew R.C. Church, 35 N Service Rd, Dix Hills, New York 11746 followed by a private cremation.
